Glad she’s improving. I’ve always been told zero hay x 5 days, soupy pellets and a bit of bute and grazing grass for those 5 days.

After my hinny choked and vet cleared the blockage, I was left with a tube of banamine for throat irritation. My hinny developed a wet cough a few days after the episode, so went to the vet’s office and picked up SMZs for apparent infection caused by aspirating some of the flush water. I now feed his timothy pellets with some soaked bp–not that the soaked bp really dampens anything, but my hinny doesn’t really like the bp, so has to ā€œlipā€ the pellets out of the beet pulp to eat them–he can’t gobble his bucket anymore. No more choke episodes.
