Horse has weird pooping habits?

I guess she thinks she will have to live in the same place all the time with no breaks to go into a field or anything so is trying to minimise the amount of floor covered by manure perhaps?

I have a horse that was a bucket pooper. To add insult to injury she would sit on the bucket and get her tail hairs caught and tear out her tail too. Then I noticed she did this mainly in the summer. I started leaving her fan on 24/7. That lessened me coming down to feed and finding poop in her water buckets. UGH!!!

Then I put in the fly system. She stopped doing this. I decided it was because she was getting bitten by gnats and mosquitoes on her tail/ butt and she was backing up to the bucket to itch and for some reason decided to poop too. No more bucket pooping for a couple of years now!!!

I also have one of those neat poopers. She does not poop in her grass where she is turned out. Always in the tall grass on the perimeter. When she was turned out on 15 acres there were only three places in the whole pasture that she pooped. Why? I don’t know. I wish that habit was trainable. She never has an egg count when we do fecals.
