Horse increasingly spooky

I have considered this being an E deficiency. I’m in CT, so Selenium and E are always in low supply. I have SE-Mag which is all 3 in one, but he does not like the taste so that sucks for me. Which E supplement did you use?

Vitamin E by smartpak. The natural one and comes in pelleted form. Everyone eats it well.

The E you can feed without concern as any excess will be passed from the system. Selenium and magnesium are toxic in too high amounts. We tested for everything and our horses were not low in selenium just the E.

UPDATE - So the winner is ulcers! Immediately after the negative Lyme result, we switched his food to some stuff some other ulcer horses are on, and treated with Ulcergard. I rode him Sunday and today. He was a much different horse. He’s still a little bulgy toward a few things, but nowhere near as worried or concerned about stuff. He jumped a lot of jumps that I couldn’t get him near a week ago. I had no idea ulcers could present themselves in terms of spooking, but it does seem to be the ticket. Thanks for all your suggestions.

Yay!!!

Money saving tip: do a search here on Nexium or PM me about it. Same or better results as Ulcergard (backed up by peer-reviewed data) at a tiny fraction of the price. Local vets are starting to talk about it a lot and my TB has had spectacular results.
