Horse jump poles

If you want the have your octagonal rails come down more easily, use a belt sander to round over the octagons on the two ends- the few inches that sit in the jump cups. Create the best of two worlds.

Can’t say I’ve ever noticed a difference in fallability of octagon vs round wood poles.

Thank you! And thank you for the idea about sanding the sides :slight_smile: I was going to make the ground poles myself from pvc, but I’m wondering if it would be better and safer to just order more wooden poles to use instead?

Ground poles get stepped on…consider that in your decision.

Same. Plus saves me some arena space to use 10s.
