Well there are some interesting names that’s for sure. A friend of mine had a registered paint and apparently you have to submit X number of names which meet their criteria (might have to include Stud’s name?) and they get to pick the one they like. Suffice to day her horse had her paint name which she used when she was going for paint points and then another show name for when she didn’t want to use that name or didn’t care about paint points.
I think it’s important to keep track of horses through their lifetime, and don’t change names. That said, if the name is so awful that you need to change it - please do change it everywhere, including with the breed registry.
