Horse pelleted bedding for cat litter box?

Wow, the one time I bought some Arm and Hammer it STANK. Was one of the worst clay litters I’d ever experienced. Ended up giving it away.

Have been using the Blue Buffalo walnut stuff for a long time now and it is WONDERFUL.

Before that, used the Precious Cat clay in the blue bag.

I wonder how the newish flax bedding for horses would work for cats? I would love to try it in my stalls, and it sounds like it might be neat for the kitties, too.

We use the pellets and love it.

The poo gets flushed down the toilet, so that doesn’t end up in the compost.

We have 3 cats.

I am specifically referring to the new Arm & Hammer Clump and Seal multi-cat formula. Just to clarify. It is the best litter I have used so far. Others may disagree! Also, I have a lot less tracking outside the box, so that’s a bonus.

I have way more cats than I’d like to admit to ( people dump them here Grrrr  ) and I wet down pine pellets so they are crumbly and put that on top of the teeniest layer of solid pellets. When I tried pellets straight, several cats didn’t like it and refused to use it, but all take right to the sawdust, and if there is enough urine to hit the bottom the entire pellets swell right up and absorb it. I pick out solids daily and every couple of days just dump the whole thing into my compost.

I don’t worry about composting it, I have a double bin one made out of pallets and each side takes a year to fill. You can’t tell what it started as by the time it’s done.
