hey @Joanne if this is an issue happening a lot at the facility, you could show the owner a new type of automatic waterer called the EasyClean. Itâs made by company called Horseproof. I know a couple people using these and they love them. Makes it way easier to clean out the water every day. I hope this helps. I just googled it and https://www.horseproofmfg.com/ is the website.
That happened twice in my donkeysâ stall this winter. Of course it was below zero both times. I cleaned it as soon as I saw it. Even if it wasnât my animals that did such a thing, I canât imagine not solving the problem right away. Dump, rinse, refill, raise the water bucket higher by putting it on top of an upside down tub to make it harder to poop in. The last thing you want is for poop to âcookâ all day in a heated tub. Why is that so hard?
Leaving it for the owner is just passive aggressive nonsense no one needs to deal with. You did the right thing by moving. That sounds like resentfulness spilling over into an attitude toward your horse.
