Every Higher Standards soap… I can’t pick a favorite
Mad Barn’s W3 oil smells like popcorn butter!
Prestige leather oil - smells like vanilla cake.
Man…I haven’t smelled Pepi in YEARS and as soon as I saw it mentioned, I could smell it. It does smell good! Pepi + fresh pine shavings = “horse show” smell!
Nutrena Empower Boost smells good enough I had to try a piece. It wasn’t bad!
Everything by EQyss smells glorious.
A barn/loft full of fresh hay = one of my favorite smells.
Equiderma’s products smell really good, too.
There are some horse product smells that don’t smell good to me per se, but are associated strongly with carefree childhood days with horses. Like Repel X. Or old school hoof supplements.
Calf-Manna is another one.
Love the Equiss Marigold spray, Absorbine Santa Fe coat conditioner spray and Vetrolin liniment.
For food I love the smell of Calf Manna and LMF Gold
Two handsful of sweet feed from the ‘70s-‘80s. The molasses chunks in particular. It smelled like everything good and simple. Of course it made the horses a little … energetic.
When I first started riding in the 90’s sweet feed was prevalent in the barns I grew up in and I always LOVED sticking my head in the container of it and taking a nice big inhale!
Eons ago when I was at OCS, I was down by the Drill Instructor’s office (where they beat the crap out of us doing PT), it smelled wonderful. Took me a minute to place it. Turns out that Right Guard and sweat/BO smells just like Absorbine and horse.
I got this bottle of concentrated horse conditioner from my finace at christmas- it smells DEVINE it’s brand is ecolicious. It cost 100$ CAD but makes several litres. I have two spray bottles of the stuff and still have more than half the bottle left.
The whole barn smells spectacular after I spray her down.
OH another one- the poultice called EZ-Willow. It has lemon in it and smells heavenly. I love using it despite poultice being a messy endeavour.
I just put some Pure Sole Hoof Mud in some crevices and crannies when picking my guy’s feet out this morning and I love the way it smells too. Sorta like something I’d put on an Italian sub or a salad, LOL.
When I use this people think I have pizza in the barn
The smell of the oily Wipe fly repellent takes me back to the 70s when I first learned to ride.
It’s not a horse product to speak of but it has the name. I just saw a small unopened bottle of it at a flea market for $5. Another lady was standing nearby as I exclaimed “oh LOOK at this!”
A bottle of men’s cologne - English Leather. From the 70’s. She perked right up!! I said it would be fun to have a ladies party and pass it around… she bought it!
Repel-X for me.
Still vetrolin for me, hands down is the best smell in the world.
