Anyone consider a sacrifice trough specifically for dunking? Too wasteful of water?
I have one who does this. I have gotten after him for it and he goes a while between events but then every now and then the water trough is empty and 10-20 feet away from where it was (50 gallon troughs). Where he used to live, they put a 50 gallon trough in a 100 gallon trough and then strapped it to the fence with a tow strap. Years ago, raising a 100 gallon trough on cinder blocks worked well. For now, they have a 50-gal that I fill frequently and a 150-gal that I fill less frequently because it’s positively massive. Doing the rail down mid-fence sounds like a great idea!
And you just know that after you’d spent thousands of dollars to build him a pond, he wouldn’t go within 20 feet of it! :lol:
