If you find a horseshoe in your own pasture does it count as you likely bought it originally? A question for the attorneys.
I’d love to find an old work shoe to hang, those are great.

I had my Hackney pony shod in front for a while after our road was topped with gravel. The farrier I had at the time made his shoes as nothing was small enough. They were such cute little shoes. But it was getting to be a pain to get him shod, and I found boots small enough for him, so I stopped getting him front shoes. I’d kept some of his shoes for a while to do something with them (no idea what), but unfortunately I think they were thrown out when we were getting ready to sell our horse property. I never did find them again after three moves, two of which were halfway across the country, so we got rid of so much. Oh, well.

That is fasinating.
And interesting the associations of three from beyond Christianity, as Christianity picked up a lot of European folklore and added it to the canon, as it were.
I wonder why they associated iron as being a shield from the supernatural?
Does ‘spring water’ purchased in plastic bottles from stores count? Do I need to find an actual spring? What about creek water … thousands of creeks around here where I live.
Wait what? I was finding them where the farrier tossed them when he reshod my horse. Can I count that?
