How can I keep shoes on?

bell boots will help sometimes depending on the reason for horse pulling the shoe.

It was the answer for one horse here…perhaps she was just more careful-just as a horse with a butt wrap seems more aware of the hind end- don’t know - but it worked and whatever works is good. She stopped pulling shoes so that was good enough reason to use them.

Never hurts to try some 'spy time ’ as well. I had a new horse come in, threw his right front over and over - I finally caught the bugger - he was hooking his foot on the web wire in one of our grass pastures and happily ‘plinking’ the fence - course eventually the shoe came off…again. He got moved!
