My husband and I got married on horseback on top of a hill overlooking the valley. A lot of our friends were also on their horses and had ridden up from our house. It was a blisteringly hot day but it was fun.

My sister got married at a nature and heritage center that had paddocks for horses. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding. Only another sister and I knew about the horses, as we were to hold them during the ceremony. My sister and husband saddled up at the cabin where they were staying and rode across green lawns to the wedding venue, causing quite a stir! I decorated their two black horses with flowers and they wore white polos and bridles.
