The Northridge earthquake happened and all LA Unified schools were closed. I was kind of bored, my horse was hairy, and my mom had a set of those giant, noisy Clipmaster clippers that vibrated so badly that your arm went numb. The horse was a really light palomino who turned out white when clipped so any errors were minimized. Besides, it was January and we weren’t going anywhere for awhile. It actually came out pretty OK, though probably not A-show worthy for the first week or so. After that I read up and talked to people who knew what they were doing.
