How Do You Hitch Up a BP Trailer in the Dark?

If I think real hard with my lady brain…

JK…practice. I’ve thought about marking the tailgate right above the hitch(where I can see it in the rearview mirror) and also marking the trailer, so I can line them up…but, I’ve never actually done that. I always think about it when I’m actually hooking it up and then forget once I’m done. haha. Also, wifi back up cameras are actually super cheap and have night vision. I actually use mine in the trailer. It runs off a battery pack and links to my ipad(or phone…it’s just an app it connects to). I have magnets on it so I can move it around. I could easily stick it on the back of the truck temporarily if I needed to. Or you could just get one installed on your truck.

I assume you are talking about hitching up at home, rather than in some other setting.

Since it is your place, install a decent floodlight on your barn to illuminate the place where you usually park your trailer.

Do some testing before final installation to ensure that your truck will not create an area of shadow on the trailer tongue as you back up.
