$51 + call fee ($63) . Electronic through GVL. North/Central NJ
I have a grey/white pinto. The vets never get the markings correct on the paper copy. I would have loved to have been able to do the digital one. If he was freshly clipped or wet his markings showed clearly. I have also had problems 2 years in a row where the ink on my copy was so faint it was really hard to read. So the copies were even harder to read. It may not be the standard but in the digital age it would be so much nicer to have the digital Coggins.
For horses with a lot of markings such as some pintos and appaloosas I would think the digital would be far superior to paper.
45.00 plus call fee and then a fee to Global Vet Link for the digital version. I like the digital copy as we can forward to a hauler and not have to worry about physically handing copy to the shipper. Travel paperwork can be very tedious!
All of this! Paper Coggins are hard to read and don’t offer nearly the same level of detail/ID verification as the digital versions. Plus, with the GlobalVetLink digital Coggins and a smart phone, you never have to worry about accidentally leaving your Coggins at home/the barn.
Also, check your state law before scanning/copying a paper Coggins. Most states specify that only an ORIGINAL Coggins test is considered valid, so shows/inspectors/etc. shouldn’t be accepting photocopies or scanned copies of the paper version.
Hahahaha I was looking for some information on thoroughbred sire, Exchange Rate, I realize he is deceased now. Then I found your post and it was just funny
