How tall should boots be?

Thanks for the response guys! I really hate to return them b/c this was the third pair (1st two didn’t fit correctly), and if I wanted to be super picky these could even be a smidge smaller around, in addition to slightly shorter. Honestly I’ve been wimping out of wearing them b/c I’ve been riding with a new trainer who’s changed some things on my position, and it’s just easier to wear my old, broken in dress boots.

A friend of mine had her boots cut slightly just behind the knees, right where it hurt.

So the whole boot stayed the same height.

My Cavallos came with that slight cut-out behind the knees - makes them SO much more comfortable! I gave up on my pair of Petries before that - after being scraped raw behind the knees, I decided it just wasn’t worth it! Back to my soft, comfy Ariats until I found the Cavallos. Personally, it isn’t worth it to me to bleed or bruise - I have enough of that in my life already
