I think it’s more that the limit on gathering size is still 10 since Ontario is in Stage 2 of the reopening framework. Obviously there’s an exception for certain outdoor sports competitions, but I would guess that the average Ontarian would not know about this unless they participate in those sports. To a random person, it would just appear that there are way more than 10 people on the property, which might be violating the restrictions.

If the border is open I definitely won’t go volunteer! If the border is still closed and it’s only Canadians competing, I’ll consider it but it’s going to depend on what the situation is like then…Quebec hasn’t been dealing very well so far so certainly not interested in going if they’re still not well-contained. Schools may be back open, etc.
However, the problem is going to be getting a new date. I don’t think there’s much available in the fall, especially if the Ontario venues are able to run.
