Richard Daley, from Piedmont. He won the staff class. It is a LOVELY horse.

Those are rain gloves. They are a required appointment for the u/s class, and are to be tucked under the offside billets, thumbs together, fingers forward. During hunting, if it starts pouring and your leather gloves get wet, the reins can slide through your hands (remember, smooth leather – no lacing), so you would pull out your rain gloves and put them on, and voila! you had grip again. If you are riding astride, you would tuck one glove under the billets on each side of the saddle, for an appointments class.[/QUOTE]
Oh, thank you!
I just want to thank everyone that was there for being so kind, helpful, and entertaining! This was my second show since I was a junior (13 years ago…) and the second show EVER for the mare I was on. She LOVED it!!! We weren’t sure how she would do under the lights but after a couple of “squiggly” jumps (and leaving out strides in both diagonals) in the Warm-Up and Age group we got it together for the Corinthion and came in second. We also joined a Hunt Team last minute and lead the Bull Run/Keswick team of big grays to a respectable third considering we had never practiced or even met until about 5 min before we went in
There were only two of us from Bull Run this year but I’m already pushing for a bunch more to come next year!
Here is me and the big gray mare: https://picasaweb.google.com/Shoutten/September92011?authuser=0&feat=directlink
Last year was her first year going first flight and she’s only been jumping courses since July LOVE her!
and she got to ride up with the Haffie and thought he was VERY attractive!
I’m forbidden by my husband to ever own another gray mare,
But I’d make an exception for her. Lovely.
Sure wish Warrenton weren’t so far from Tallahassee!!!..I would LOVE to come.
SSR…Your pinto gal is LOVELY…who was that nasty judge who didn’t like her???
Congrats to Jean Clark…she’s a lovely rider with great horses…
