Yes!! Sorry, I am terrible with names!!! Horses I can remember, people not so much!
I’m glad y’all had a good time. I’m sitting here reading hunter pace threads and just wishing it wasn’t too freaking hot to ride. I’m here in the steamy coastal swamps of SC. How were your temperatures in N. Ga yesterday?
Low 90’s I think? Most of the trail was shaded, with a few spots out on the open sun. It wasnt too bad at all while you were moving…it did get toasty once we were back (around noon) and packing up the truck and trailer.
It was def. warmer at home once we arrived around 4 than when we rode around 11…
Wow. My helmet is off to y’all.
Although shady woods might not be so bad. I wouldn’t know, since there are large blood-sucking pterodactyl-like arthropods lurking in our woods, ready to drain dry the unwary horse and rider.
Can you tell I’m not a summer kind of girl?
Must stop griping about the heat, though. I’ve got to find some way to get me and the Great Grey Hope legged up for the fall hunter paces. So thank you for the motivation.
Relocated, I’m the same way–if I hadn’t recognized Captain, I wouldn’t have known to come over to meet you. However, I may be able to recognize you next time because of your very cool after-ride hat!!
Pain’t, stay motivated and in the meantime, ride faster than the arthropods can fly!
Preston & I had a blast too! We met sarabean [who I didn’t know was a COTHer until right.this.minute] and Sara, who is the duplicate version of Preston minus a few inches.
Loved the tunnel of trees. We went galloping through there, pulled up on the outside, and I turned for a second to my riding partner and said “I felt so pretty for a second, like a movie!” SHe had been thinking the same thing.
The boys had a blast! We, too, packed up before awards. I’d had about 2 hours of sleep then night before and the heat had me tuckered. Didn’t want to fall asleep driving home!
Can’t wait for the next one, probably will be bringing the little Thoroughbred for his turn at a pace =]
TwoDream, I’m still drooling over Preston…
Yes, I do love my hat…although I usually forget to put it on and end up with a sunburned face!!
Twodreamrides…we must have missed you…
Marisa mentioned doing another HP in the fall…I really hope she does, I have had so much fun!
Hunter Paces in Ga
Must have been a good weekend for hunter paces. Chatt Hills in Fairburn Ga had one too!
relo- For future reference, I drive the bumper pull Featherlite with bright blue Dodge. Usually, my horse is a tall light bay with no white (Preston). Although, in the fall I will probably bring the small 7yo OTTB gelding that looks like a 2yo filly… I’m pretty much always riding with a girl who has a dark bay OTTB with chrome & a buck. =]
What am I looking for with you?
sarabean - here’s one of my fave shots of him, to keep you drooling

Our first time in the 3’6" divisions
TwoDream–Okay, now I need a bib…this is getting messy…
Haha - you’re just lucky you caught Sara before I did or else I would’ve had a really nice matching pair
Ohhh…I saw the Just Press Start on your saddle pad!!! You were walking back to the trailers as myself and Lauren were heading to see how many riders were left!!! I made a comment about the name…didnt know if it was a farm name or horses name!!
I think you were actually parked next to me!!!
I drive a big white Chevy and pull a tiny white featherlite BP, lol…
Captain is a black (bay in summer, lol) with a big white blaze and two socks behind…and he is a roarer…so you should be able to hear us coming if we are behind you, lol. And of course there is my bog floppy straw hat, lol…
This is Captain…

A tired Captain and a tired Relo at a Jeff Cook clinic…lol.
I don’t think you were parked next to me Relo (Hidden Hills was on one side, and a single riding lady w/ her hubby/bf for support was on the other). However, I think you guys were coming in off the course while we were heading out. Kristin, my riding partner, thought your horse looked like her horse’s twin…http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30386575&l=f64c60713b&id=19801671
YES!! We were riding in as you where going out…I had a student with me on her little black Arab.
I was parked next to Sarabean actually…and on the other side was a Brenderup trailer I think.
AGHHHHHH!!! It sounds like I missed a wonderful time!!! I WILL be at the next one. Noctis will you be doing one in the fall?? PLEASE keep me posted on the next one and I will be there I promise!!!
TwoDream, thanks for the nice compliment on Miz Sara. Just got back from the barn, having spent the day on halter repair, treat dispensing (I am a Pez…), hand grazing in the clover patch, and, of course, picking poop (the girl will NOT go outside her stall!). Her Mareness had the day off. I will give her your compliments in the morning–so looking forward to our next meeting with your and Relocated and other COTHers!
