I can't believe USEA!!!

The omnibus is on-line. http://www.eventingusa.com/omnibus/

The rule book is on-line. Mine only came in the mail last week. http://www.usef.org/content/rules/ruleBook/2004/

You can get a medical armband by calling and asking for one…I haven’t gotten my new one yet, either.

Show entry dates for April won’t be until the middle or end of February…you have lots of time to get what you need!

WELL beyond funny. Especially when I, sitting huddled around my kerosene heater hoping the 160 pound Newf will sit on my lap to keep me warm, had to make a B-Day call to my mother only to hear how the weather is – IN FLORIDA!!!

someone remind me why I didn’t go with them??

Sorry, folks I wanted to post this in Latin, to make it more interesting.

But it’s kinda rusty.

GWV/ boring, but here!

Junior (in the 18 and under USEF sense) and Amateur are mutally exclusive. There is no such thing as an Amateur Junior. Juniors can accept payment for anything and everything. They are still juniors.

AHTF does not disqualify you as an Amateur in the USEF sense. Also, (and here I could be quite wrong) I do not believe that accepting sponsorship disqualifies you as an amateur. For example, once upon a time, all Olympic athletes were required to be amateurs. Sponsorship was the only way for them to survive. The waters on that have been muddied, so I can’t say if that is still true, but I am going to look it up.

BTW, tle
quote:
-- If you are truly looking at getting sponsors, grab a dictionary and learn to spell the word correctly.

ROTFLMAO!!!

sorry I am NOT very good at spelling like, say, Extream, is (Calling for mom in background) Extreme! well that was a bit of commas (?)

Swizzle may be a bit harsh, but I have to totally agree with the sentiment. NO, you DO have to chill. Get a grip on reality and realize that you’re not the center of the universe. I doubt your sponsors are going to care one iota that you don’t have your medical armband yet.

Opps!
Guess it’s a little obvious that I have never competed outside of Area 8!!
I thought that logically it would just make sense to go LEFT to RIGHT in numeric order…who numbered these areas anyhow??

[QUOTE]official/trainer/office personnel are lurking on this board [QUOTE]

I know for sure that several of the USEA office personnel are monitoring your rantings, and there are also not just a few officials are doing the same - and waiting to officiate at events where you are competing!

Ok…

I had just sent out my applications for my horse and I so we could ride in rated events this year. Well i got my packet it today and i got the All Renewing Member Packet. I’m not renewing…i have never done rated events before. I just paid over a $100 for this and i haven’t gotten the stuff i need. So i called and they said that they would send my stuff out. Now i won’t get it until next month. Anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

And, Barbara G, we LOVE those people. Thanks again to all the volunteers out there!

Hey Spots -

At least you can spell and punctuate!
Sorry if I seemed to come down too hard on you. My concern is mainly with Swizz who seems excessively nasty! Probably cabin fever or something.

Flutie

August 1-5 is usually pretty nice, if it isn’t too humid May 15th is also good.

Today i went to check my mail, and i got the remaining items that i didn’t get in the packet. That was fast. Thanks USEA!!

I have had lovely experiences working with USEA. They have been helpful, kind, and efficient whenever I have dealt with them.

And Flutie, much as I adore you, I don’t think I’m being inappropriate in commenting that the reaction seemed a bit excessive, though perhaps the sarcasm was slightly uncalled for. Go after Swizz if you want for the personal attack on the spelling, but my comments weren’t out of line.

Also, this isn’t the first time she has played “the victim”

I just have to say that I am soooo happy I don’t employ some of you people to actually work while you are at work.

I have stayed away from that insideous penguin game, knowing that it’s going to be like elf bowling-and I won’t get anything else done today. (like I am anyway)
