I can't believe USEA!!!

Not to mention that “next month” is only 4 days away (from the date of the original post!)

Best of luck, whoa, with moving up to recognized events

One thing you can give and still keep is your word.

HAH! 593.5!

Wow LLDM, the penguin game is much more fun than I expected.
I really want to know where WHW got her sponsers. I would like some of those for myself!

“It was a relief to me to know that loud talk, red faces, and public drunkenness are still a part of the eventing scence.” -Jim Wofford

Heh heh. 522.5–Gotta love the penguin game! (Can you tell I’ve abused it a bit?)

Re: the issue at hand…ditto what everyone else said.

To be great is to dare to rise above the sea of mediocrity and surround yourself by the elite… To be excellent is to never give in to the mental weakness or fear.

Y’all really do a super job of selling the place. Of course, given that it’s supposed to hit a high of 5 degrees here (that’s Farenheit), with lows below zero and wind chill to mid 20’s below (that’s like, fifty degrees below freezing, otherwise known as durn cold), I suspect I’m feeling your pain. @#$% flyover country.

Gotta still be careful about May, though…a couple of years ago it SNOWED the weekend before Memorial Day here in New Hampshire.

You catch more flies with honey - remember that.

You said you were missing your winter omnibus, your rule book and your armband. Why do your sponsors need those things? Just curious?

The winter Omnibus is on-line if you plan to enter the Kent School combined test, which, I think is the only Area I entry in the winter book.

The rule book is on line.

The medical card you can probably call and just ask for one, regardless of your membership status.

It is 5 degrees in NH today - not really riding weather. Go give your horse a treat and dream warm thoughts about next season.

I agree. Hmmm… you started this thread just a couple days ago… which means if you’d just practiced a bit of PATIENCE then not only would you have yoru stuff, but you wouldn’t have the reputation of a complainer/whiner… although I wouldn’t be surprised if you thougth that 1 little “thanks USEA” even repeated 3 times makes up for the way you’ve behaved.

If Dressage is a Symphony… Eventing is Rock & Roll!!!

tle, I never worried that whw was eligible for AHTF, someone else commented on it above. I was really addressing their post.
Personally, I love gramer natsies!

I don’t get the game. I keep getting the same score.

ThirdCharm - No i’m not a newbie to eventing. Been doing it for 4 years now. Just haven’t done the rated events, only done schooling ones.

WHW -

Oh gee, am I upset. I had my $15,000 sponsorship check ready to send you to sponsor your first recognized eventing season, but I learned that you don’t have your medical armband. Therefore, I’m sending my money elsewhere. Think I should sue USEA?

Get real!

Swizzle Stick

So you see? Everyone has different experiences and thus different reactions to those experiences. No reason to get catty, petty and mean.

devildog- i believe “the Victim” was suppose to be droped, so i’d be careful!!

I’ve found the staff of USEA to always be extremely responsive. It’s a difficult time of the year November-January which is before-during-after convention. It’s easier to e-mail or call the office (whether USEA or USEF, etc.) and more than one person if you don’t get response from the original - maybe there’s a reason - rather than speculate about issues. I find the assn. websites quite helpful. And the Eventers here are often knowledgable as long as you know you’re getting the facts!

As my son goes to school about 1/2 a mile from the USEA headquarters, I can say that there is a good chance that they are running on a skeleton staff this week…or reduced hours.

We’ve had snow, then more snow, then ice on that snow, more snow, and another layer of ice.

I would figure that they are all working just as hard as I am to keep their horses fed, watered, and just driving to work takes 2x as long.

I got no problem with history canterlope, as long as we aren’t doomed to repeat it (or be forever trapped in the past).

WHW -
Have you tried POLITELY and CALMLY asking the USEA membership department to send you a Rule Book, Medical Card and Omnibus? (If you have trouble with the words “polite” and “calm,” Webster’s has very good definitions). I think you’d be surprised how quickly this could happen.

Swizzle Stick

(P.S. At the risk of sounding like Simon on American Idol, your grammar and spelling are even more atrocious than your impulse control!)

WhoaHorsieWhoa–

Sorry, I was fooled by the notation USEA which accompanies your level of competition, which implies some sort of recognition. I am glad to hear there are unrecognized events offering Training, there certainly weren’t when I lived in Area I!

JenniferS

Sorry to be dense, Gardeniasgirl, but what the hell are you talking about? Is English your second language?
