This is from a while ago (about 15 years😅), just me and good ol’ Ciri during a trail on the mountains. He was about 16 yo at the time, the most lovely horse I ever met and I am onoured to be his owner. Here he is today, 31yo and still my bestie

My horse is by Original Cowboy. He has the same roany coloring and markings as most of the OC offspring. OC is by Lazy Loper, who also sired Lazy Luvah. So you were close!

He is a sweet boy. Definitely a lover, not a fighter. But he lets me know if he gets bored or perturbed. He will heave a long, loud sigh. It’s pretty funny.

Okay, here I am. I’m wincing at posting my fat old self, but I’m having so much fun trying Saddleseat! I’ve been a H/J rider all my life and now I’m loving Saddlebreds and Saddleseat.

We’ve had mirror image journeys! My first official lessons were saddleseat on Saddlebreds, and then I did hunters forever. I still have a fondness for Saddlebreds.

Reverse twins! Seriously, I love the Saddlebred gaits. So easy on my old back. And the canter is a dream. I love my QH, but I have to admit his canter just doesn’t compare.

It’s so much fun! And really, easier than you think. If you get a chance, please try a Saddldbred. A good seat is a good seat, too I guarantee you’ll love the gaits!
