regarding the hoarder horses …even if some have, please call …repeated hounding might create some action. It takes 5 minutes to make a phone call . consider alerting the media that the humane society was called and nothing is being done (if they never investigate or did any follow up_) perhaps call a rescue group as well to intervene, and also drive by the property and take photos of the horses and submit them as well.
Sometimes awareness of shocking cases like this is what changes laws, or makes action happen if the law stinks in area.
We are facing a major life change (no surprise), it will be an adjustment, but there are some positives. I get to keep 2 of my horses. They won’t be at home anymore - but the options I’m considering for boarding are all good ones, and all very close to me. I’m so relieved today…the stress of worrying about where me, my daughter (and the dogs and cats) were going to live is stressful enough, but add to that finding an affordable place to board the last 2 horses I have - I was exhausted.
