I want to catch ride!

I am always looking for good riders to help school and show ponies. I know several other pony breeders in the same situation. Definitely contact breeders in your area if you know of any.

Hi,

i saw that you are always looking for good riders to help school and show. Is that still the case?

Last resort – Stand by the in-gate dressed in your show outfit with polished boots and helmet on looking eager and wait for a harried pro to say “Can anyone hack this one in the under-saddle for me??” Pin his/her horse in the u/s and then politely ask if you can ride the horse in the under-saddles regularly :)[/QUOTE]

^this. Go to every show, dressed and ready. Be there 10 mins before the jogs. Every BNT needs a jogger last minute.

I’m in the exact situation as you!!!

good grief, where are these kids, and why aren’t they near me??? i’ve got a couple of sales horses and a couple of my own that needs more time in the saddle, and ever since my old working student moved, i haven’t been able to replace her with anyone that actually knows one end of the horse from the other, much less actually ride a bit. ugh…

Hi I’m a 14 year old girl. I’ve been recently showing on the A circuit this past year. I’m financially not in a state where I can show very much but I’m want to continue my experience! If any has a catch ride available throughout any of the 12 weeks of WEF please message me for my information. Preferably a pony but will take what’s available!!

Be careful sharing details like your age and gender on any site, including this one and certainly with any stranger who contacts you over the internet. Your parents or legal guardian need to be involved with your search anyway as they will need to sign liability releases for you before you can ride anything. Work with them and your current trainer to find rides, not strangers on the net.

And don’t share specifics that can identify your IRL identity and location. Not safe.

I wouldn’t worry too much. I think this is a fantasy post.

Even so, the warning holds true.

Please refer to the horseless riders/riderless horses thread stuck at the top of Off Course for those looking to match appropriate butts with saddles.
