Ice Horse Continuous Flow System and Other Icing Products

Also, would putting the pad directly on the leg be bad? I watched their “how to” video and granted they are talking about human skin (minus the same level of hair as a horse’s leg) they warned not to place it directly on the skin without a barrier.

The downside is you can only do one leg at a time and that hose is super short. I picture that thing getting knocked around if someone is feeling full of themselves. But the price IS enticing…[/QUOTE]

They make a Y connector…just like every other manufacturer of these things. You can easily run two pads off of one unit.

I put the pad directly on my back, and for an HOUR, and had no issues.

If you’re really that worried about the length of the hose, hang the unit on the horse and connect it to an extension cord. Or spend the $$$ on a horse ready unit? I would have loved to have one of these things when I was rehabbing Pig’s two freshly bowed tendons! I easily spent that dollar figure on ice boots and ice. It would have been so much easier to have one of these things.

The hose length between the unit and the pad is at least 6’. The y connector adds more length.

Yeah I saw they made a Y splitter after doing some more digging, but it doesn’t look very wide. I’m DEFINITELY considering it. Just hoping it’s not a machine I spend $150 on and the first time I use it Sky sidesteps and rips the hose. That would be my luck.
