Interest in Ladies foxhunting clinic weekend

Have we solidified the date to March 19th? Just making sure before I start making plans around this date.

I’m excited to meet some more COTHers. I’m sure it will prove to be as much fun as the last one!

Is this going to become and annual or bi-annual event?!

And where’s BigBayTB?[/QUOTE]

I’m here! I just haven’t had the chance to post (I think). I am very bummed. I would love to come, but cannot make it this spring. :(:frowning:

You will have to have fun without me…and I know that you will have fun.

My list of things to get is a better truck so I can bring both my horses from Indiana. However, on another note, my hunt whipper-in and his wife own a massive truck and trailer said that they would love to come out with me the next time I go to ole virginny. They would be able to trailer our horses out. So hopefully, I can get that worked out next season!!

Hey there BBT…sorry you can’t come in the spring, but I’m certainly up for a fall weekend too, so perhaps we can meet up then with your hunt companions.
I’ve a couple of friends in CT who would like to come down with me, too, and can’t come in March, so we can certainly come up with a quorum.

Anyone interested in hunting with the Old Dominion Hounds from the real Hunter’s Rest on Saturday, March 19, please email me at home so I can keep you in the loop as plans progress.
Some of you have already made email contact - anyone else interested send me a note to: BetsyP@crosslink.net
I’d hope Whicker will continue to monitor the chat here with party and planning updates!!

Hunter’s Rest,
Tonight Mason and I are in Ogden Utah, thinking of you and your BF. How I wish I could stop and ski!

I have every intention of being back in the thick of planning with you when I can stop driving long enough to plot and scheme…

I hope so! I’d love to make it someday, but don’t think it would be feasible for another year.

Miss you, Betsy!

SH invades hunting princess week!

Hey Hunters Rest! I went ahead and invited all my buds in the Snobbington Hunt and we’ll be arriving by caravan for this event. Plan on feeding 20-30 more hunting princesses…:winkgrin::lol::lol:
We’re gonna campout in our RV/party wagons out in your field. In a circle…like gypsies…bonfire…you bring the dip!!!

Wateryglen,
The Snobbington Hunt dancing girls are attending? Are they bringing the celebratory libations for the filling of the flasks ceremony? Do their tiaras have different LED colors for their lites or feathers? We do have standards! Ask BigBayTb!

Sadly, I’ve discovered my tiara is somewhat broken…got stepped on by the dog. But now the real question…do I replace it, or wear it with the damaged tiara just as a true hunter would continue to use a well worn coat or helmet? Or must the signs of wear & damage come directly from the hunt?

Attn: Snobbington members!

Well to answer ya’lls burning questions!..Yes the SH dancing girls are comin’. And yes bringing libations but…remember the flasks HAVE to be the pink sparkley ones. And the SH tiara’s all have multicolored blinkining LED lights so replacements are in order. You can order them online at the Tiara’s R Us website. They have some with other kinds of feathers…besides the pink/purple chicken feathers on ours. We will keep up the Hunting Princess standards by all means necessary!

And Hinderella! Wow that’s a toughie! You make some compelling points! Not sure! I “think” its ok to keep wearing a broken one…consider it “character” or like jewelry on horses in that it’s noticeable but not significant! I don’t think the damage has to be directly hunt related. But I am not the Snobbingtons Etiquette Police…We’ll have to look into a replacement tiara.
Carry on!!

:: adjusts tiara, sips daintily from pink sparkly flask and pets, alternately, feather boa and Charles Owen helmet lovingly::

Pashience, my Preciousesishes, one day we’ll join them, and there then will be such a hunt and such a feast that:

“he that outlives this day, and comes safe home, will stand a tip-toe when the day is named, and rouse him–”

:: sips robustly from pink sparkly flask :: Rouse him??!!?? Well, Preciousesishes, I never!!

“He that shall live this day, and see old age, but he’ll remember with advantages what feats he did that day: then shall our names familiar in his mouth as household words: Hunter’s Run, JSwan, hinderella, wateryglen, whicker be in their flowing cups freshly remember’d.”

:: chugs from pink sparkly flask :: In their flowing cups, I should say!

“But we in it shall be remember’d we few, we happy few, we band of hunters;
And gentlemen now a-bed–”

:: chugs from pink sparkly flask :: hehehehe, Gentlemen. A-bed.

“Shall think themselves accursed they were not here, And hold their manhoods”

HAHAHAHAHA :: falls off chair :: Well, Preciousesishes, perhaps it’s best that we are unable to attend, after all.

Exit, pursued by a bear

OMG! After that performance we might have to hawk the tiaras (despite the fact that mine is still on lay away), pool our money and send CarrieK a ticket!

You had me at “and hold their manhoods!”

I hope this becomes an annual event. I want to try foxhunting, but don’t think I can make it this time (since I can’t drive myself around, I need to wait until I can convince someone else to go with me and be the driver :)).

But it sounds like so much fun - even if you didn’t go hunting. All these fun women in one place!

Would love to come but…

hank and I are massively out of shape. I haven’t been on the old boy in months. He would have a blast, but probably would not admit that at 24 he needs to be in some sort of shape to join in the fun.

no no no no - you cannot squirm out of it that easily!!!

HR’s hunt has a walk trot group. She will not do anything that will be too much for your horse.

Bring your horse out - and if he gets tired or wants to take a nap you can easily go back in - and someone will be glad to escort you if needed.

You can join in the other activities - remember Sunday is basseting and I’m hosting our COTH group - you are most welcome to join us to chase some rabbits.

Come on!!! You can do it!

I tip my tiara and flask to you (albiet broken tiara and a black flask with skull and crossbones)…that is hilarious!

While looking for something else today, I came across the original topic where Hinderella asked if it was feasable for her to start fox hunting at her age and stage. It appears that that was where this idea really began to hatch and I can’t believe we newbies signed up for this knowing that you ladies will obviously be innebriated and won’t be able to stay on your horses  And that you are all pre-fallen, and walk like Festus.

SmartAlex-
And the problem is???
Think how good YOU’LL look amongst those enebriated ladies!
I"ll be down here is SW VA thinking of everyone having fun.

I’m sure I will be blending right in  blending… blenders… oh good thing blender drinks aren’t really flask appropriate. I will be toting Swedish Glogg in mine.

If pinto pony in bright pink/navy blanket ever forgives me for dressing her in such a fashion, I might work with her re foxhunting.
