Interesting Driving Class at Lexington Jr League Horse Show
Circus: Amercian culture??!! Get on! You’re having a laugh! The circus started in Rome and Egypt forever ago! But I presume you meant the modern circus though.
…Read for comprehension. Since yes, the circus started long ago in a land far far away, and did not, to my knowledge involve caliopes or ladies riding in swan carriage… obviously. Oh I forgot, we disregard the obvious on CoTH. But thanks for the history lesson anyway.

And Drive NJ, that is vary charitable of you, but no, what Thomas_1 meant was… Oh nevermind, why put words in his mouth. You all read it. For comprehension I’m sure.

Tif, thanks for bringing this to the driving forum. We needed a good scuffle. Anastasia Beaverhousen couldn’t even start one this entertaining. Who cares that a classy lady spent thousands and thousands of dollars to entertain a crowd in an entertainment venue for no personal gain. It’s crap I tell you. All crap. Or so I’ve been told by the final authority on all things crap. Whatever would we do without the crap police pointing these things out?

Is it wrong that I am now sitting at my desk with a ridiculous silly grin and a light heart? I mean, shouldn’t I feel insulted or chastised, or be contemplating how I could possibly achieve class and distinction? Or at the bare minimum, good sense and taste?

Just seen that and I can now fully appreciate that no wonder it wasn’t like anything I was familiar with.
But, what you originally wrote was this:

“Just done that and I can see now that I was right and it wasn’t a Concours
D’elegance after all.”

And, after all, isn’t this always about you being right, Thomas?

Heck I can see exactly what you mean. Why let a little trivia like accuracy stand in the way of a good little petty minded storm in a tea cup!

That must really have hurt!

Next time someone posts photos and says it’s dressage but not something I’ve ever heard of and I look and see it’s a rodeo I’ll try to remember to reply with “yep you’re most likely right, it’s an American thing”

Never mind reading for comprehension just try reading the words on the page.

I never said or used those words at all!

Do as you see fit. No doubt you know better than I do what I meant to say but didn’t say.

No, what you said was “Flashy and Trashy”, but I was so feeling like violating the no personal attacks rule that I steered clear with a general “crap”. And still, you recognised your own sentiment readily enough.

Thank you I know what I said and meant.

You clearly didn’t!

Oh I got that the Circus Wagon didn’t belong in a Concourse D’Elegance. What you don’t get is that the manner in which you communicate generally buries your important and interesting message beneath layers of audience resentment.

Neither did I know you were a spokesperson. Nor that you only posted fabulously informative important and interesting messages. … Ever. So terribly sorry I’d not noticed you sitting festering with layers of resentment

But don’t be concerned on my behalf. Appreciate that the opinion or an anonymous snappy little poster matters as much to me as a Chihuahua that yaps behind a safe and secure gate at the big dogs pass by.

I haven’t been nominated spokesperson. I’m not even the first person to call you “rude” or “snob” this week.

Actually I was calling your messages interesting and informative, but I know you never miss a chance to twist words and drop an insult. But then you’ve proven unable to take a compliment before.

Not festering. Having a darn good time actually. I’m always up for a little verbal fencing, and I know you love a good argument.

And, I would bet, that since Michele has won 4 in hand and Concours classes at such venues as Devon, and since she has a Brighton coach that SHE was the one who suggested the Trade class designation originally, because she definitely knows the difference.

Since it ended up being combined, that’s why all were in there.

However, it is a laugh if you consider that the turnout needs to be to the highest of standards, because I can guarantee you that the turnout for Scripps Miramar could have been subjected to a white glove and not a speck of dirt would have come off of either vehicles or horses … so “highest of standards” in turnout would definitely have been met.

LOVE it! I especially enjoyed seeing a WGC five gaited horse shown without having his tail “up”, and with a natural foot- what I nice, nice boy he is! And a breeding stud, to boot!

That calliope takes a careful turn at the end of the ring doesn’t it!! Wow, cool to see video.

Was the video shot by someone on this board?

Aw… way fun. Making hard work look like fun is not an easy task. Thanks for the video!
