Is Grass growing slow for anyone else to?

Nope-- here in the PNW (as far from VA as you can get!) we had a mild winter and warm spring. I mowed my lawn in February! Mowed pastures twice so far. Got our lime down a few weeks early due to lack of rain. I know we are headed into a drought so trying to get my grass in good shape before hand, no overgrazing, so it’ll be healthy in the fall when(if) rains return.

I guess we are in the minority as our pastures , lawns and hayfields are growing alarmingly fast. The right weather makes all the difference and fertilizing too.

Central Alabama - pasture is waist high. UGH!!! We only had one day of winter here and lots of monsoon rains.

There are some grasses with interesting seed heads along with some oats I would like to go to seed for next year. But my mare gets leg crud and itchy from walking in tall grass so it is time to call the mower guy with the 15 foot batwing mower.

Or buy a bush-hog. Not sure I can figure out that PTO stuff on the tractor though. And it is hilly which I don’t want deal with.
