Is my WB filly too fat/stocky?

Auto changes!

She looks to be a sweetie. I love her color.

VERY short! Makes him a super hard ride. He is lucky that I fell in love with him during his race career and it really doesn’t matter how he rides he has a home forever. He is more like a very big dog anyway. He has moments of beauty and grace, but t hey are few and far between. I’ll try to see if I can find a conformation photo and send it to you.

This is interesting to read since I’ve had the opposite experience with mine in some ways, but some of that sounds familiar. Similar build (fairly short backed and short coupled, but tall and extremely leggy). We’ve definitely had a lot or work to do at the trot to keep him uphill when he was greener otherwise he would overreach every stride, but as he’s grown into his body and evened out/gotten less butt high the overreaching has largely gone away. He’s also always had a light and naturally balanced canter. He sticks just under 17h, but like yours is also in a 78" blanket (and some are slightly too big). Mine is a WB, but narrower - he’s a 52" girth. I’d definitely be interested in seeing a confo short of your guy!

And OP, that filly is gorgeous. Super adorable!!
