Is this top ok for Horsemanship?

You make a good point. My barn friend’s daughter recently graduated from SMU, and was on their equestrian team for several years. For any kind of team competition, the western team wore all black, head to toe. I don’t think they even had any crystals or bling anywhere. And I believe they had sponsors for some of their show apparel, too, which was nice and kept the costs down. Plus, everyone was in the same, consistent outfit.

There’s tons of helpful information on the Hobby Horse website to help folks make a good impression in the show ring. Go to hobbyhorseinc.com and scroll to the very bottom/left area titled “Helpful Hints” and look around there.

Here’s one specific link that has info that might be helpful for you getting started showing western:

My daughter’s coach recommended the Pearle top from Hobby Horse. I just got one on FB Marketplace for $30. I found someone else selling one in gray for $50 on the Show Clothes on a Budget FB group.
