If you mean Irish Sport Horse you could always check out the website for the IDHSNA Irish Draught Horse Society of North America to check out how to get your mare registered. Thats how I registered mine. It was pretty quick and easy.
Depends on your horses breeding and what you know about it - does she have any papers/documentation at all about her breeding? When I imported my Irish horse, he didn’t come w/ a passport and was unregistered in Ireland. For shucks I wanted to register him so contacted the IDHSNA. Since he didn’t have papers or passport from Ireland I had him DNA tested to prove his bloodlines. I knew the sire - they sent me the kit and in a couple of weeks poof he was registered. Done deal. Pretty simple.
While I didn’t participate in any of their breed shows (too far or bad weekends) I did sign up for their year end points program and got some nice prizes which was fun and I like to support the organization.
