Anyone want to find me a nice used dressage saddle (16.5" ) to fit a narrow, with high withers? No rush, but for all you shop-a-holics, feel free to keep your eye out
the thread is so long.
Thanks for this thread! While I’ve not bought anything off of the goodwill auction site, I have registered and there are lots of good things on there.
horseloverz has just sent me email that all mcallister (sp) blankets are $50. I know nothing about these blankets, so go look and see if you want any of them.
OK, my fine feather dressage friends, I need a STEAL of a deal on show clothes. I need a dressage jacket and show shirt… maybe pants if I can’t fit into my previous show pants. A lightly used show jacket is fine.

Try the Salvation Army, a Thrift store, etc. You can buy a black men’s jacket as a short coat. If you need to you can buy some buttons and add or change things pretty easily. That’s what I ride in. It cost $2. I’m sure you can find a ton of shirts that would work well. Breeches may be harder.
Thanks!

OK, when I first heard about “Himalayan Salt Blocks” I almost snorted tea through my nose, thinking “oh, boy, what a gimmick.” Then a friend got them for her horses and reported they were consuming more salt. We live on the hot, humid Texas Gulf Coast. Last summer was especially bad. My horses did not TOUCH their salt blocks - either white or mineral. I supplemented electrolytes all summer. I finally broke down and bought some “Himalayan salt” from SmartPak - and my horses immediately started using them, have not quit, and drink much more water in their stalls overnight.
And then I found virtually the same thing on Ebay - and it works out to about HALF what I paid on SmartPak. It’s 24 lbs (6 ‘spools’) so those with just one horse may want to go in with someone, but $51 including shipping! I bought some in Feb and they are bigger than the ones I got from SmartPak. The seller shipped very promptly.
Here’s a link:
The Himalayan Salt are on sale at Dover too…along with the small hole hay nets (normally 24.95 now 9.90). I bought 10 = LOVE them.
Lauriche dressage saddle, 18/mw, $1495
someone added square d’s on the cantle for trail riding and appears to have cut the jockeys for the front D’s. A little sacrilege in my taste, but otoh not a bad ride for a trail saddle
