This always sounds like so much fun, but between work and unfit horse, I can’t swing it. However, if anyone wants to drive down about 15 minutes south of Middleburg and stop by Tri-County Feeds, I’d be happy to meet some COTHers! I’m always there on the weekends!
Are you still planning on meeting Friday night in Winchester? Unfortunately I leave for a conference on Sunday, but the walking mall is right down the street from me and I would love to meet some local horse people 
I just borrowed a coat from a friend, so now I’m really getting excited! Do we have an itinerary yet?
I believe this is cancelled. Every single person that expressed excited interest dropped out.
That’s so sad! They don’t know what they’re missing! I’m completely out of vacation time or I would come, as I think the last hunt in my area up here is 12/1.
Dior and I capped with Snickersville today and I can’t say enough good things about them! We went with the second field, but we were right with the first field some of the time. We viewed a fox, too! Liz Williams was our field master and what a wonderful job she did! Kept the pace reasonable but exciting, and watched out for everyone. Can’t wait to go again!
That is too bad indeed. I guess sometimes the idea of doing something is as fulfilling as actually doing it. So happy to know you took Red Pony out for hunting and had a great time. I’m gearing up for a hunt on December 21, and am getting really excited about it. Being a horse owner now, doesn’t afford much extra $ left over, but I really really want to get out at least once this year. Everything about hunting so appeals to the primitive me!
I agree. That is too bad. These folks would have had such a great time. Hinderella - so glad you got Red Pony out to hunt. From your pics, it is apparent you were in heaven. I’m getting jazzed to hunt on Dec. 21. I’ve got my own horse now, but unfortunately I don’t think he could ever hunt. Too highstrung, but a wonderful guy in all other respects.
I just can’t make it that day. I’m staff and that commitment must take priority. I’m so sorry - I’d love to cap sometime.
Are there still horses available and lodging? This might just be a birthday Christmas gift for me, would love any info and I anyone is driving from the south??
