a note about the Wright fortune, not all their money was in horses…actually a lot were in oil futures that had huge residuals…Jt Lundy along with his lawyers, who’s name escapes me now, spent more money in one day then we will spend in a life time. He borrowed based on Calumet’s reputation. They kept very good breeding stock and had wonderful people setting it all up every year until JT got rid of them all… They entire family was a mess, even Warren Wright jr who died before his mom, was a mess…
I am sure there were some residuals from the Calumet baking soda market it is still on the shelves today…
I think it was just greed…and everyone else paid for it including Alydar…
