Jingles and prayers for Tamara in TN--3 yrs & happy update post 1103 pg 56

Terrible, terrible news. Tamara, I’m so sorry for you and your family.

I am so terribly sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have lost 2 family members in similar circumstances. At the time, I found it difficult to wrap my head around such a sudden and profound change. It felt like the twilight zone. My thoughts are with you and your children

So sorry. My condolences to Tamara and her family. :frowning:

How did I miss this.

Tamara and family. I am certain you are beyond devastated. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

Tamara, I am so incredibly sorry about the tragic loss of your husband. You and your family are in my thoughts. Hang in there sweetie.

So Sorry for your Loss

My thoughts and prayers will be with you in the days ahead. Have always had a great deal of respect for your posts, even though I don’t post much here anymore. May you and your family find peace.

Tamara,
I am so saddened for your loss. We are all pulling for you here at COTH.

Such a shocking, senseless tragedy. My condolences to you and all your family.

I cannot even imagine. Yes, your love for Calvin was apparent even to all of us who never met either of you. I know you will be strong for your children, and will keep Calvin’s memory and his love for them always present. God Bless all of you.

Had dinner with Tamara and family last night. No one in this situation is ever “well” but she’s holding up and doing what she needs to do.

I can’t speak for her, but it’s gratifying that so many have provided moral support in this time of tragedy. Thank you, all.

Sometimes less words are better than more. This one of them.

It sounds like she has a phenomenal group of people to help her.
I think of her constantly throughout the day and say a prayer.

Thanks for the update Guilherme.

Oh, Lord, I had no idea of the cause of his loss. Any loss is sad - and especially terrible when it happens to someone in the prime of life - but to now learn it was from such a senseless act of violence leaves me shaking my head.

Many, many hugs to Tamara and family. I just cannot imagine how they feel.

Tamara my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time, you show such strength and grace in your posts…may that strength continue for you as you make your way through all of this…we are here for you.

Tamara,

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May you always be encircled by love.

So very very sorry, so very very sad.

I rarely post on threads like this, being conservative about invading folks’ IRL stuff.

But I make an exception because for the past few days I have found myself admiring Tamara’s family from afar and missing Himself (aka Calvin). As far as I know, he never posted here, but Tamara would consult with Calvin from time to time on some COTH issue and he’d weigh in. It was nice to have the supervision and imprimatur of Himself.

What a wonderfully large circle of influence Calvin had! Pretty cool.

No question we are all suffering the loss of his wisdom and experience. Not that our pain begins to compare with what his family and friends are experiencing but it is a personal loss nonetheless. There are few waking moments where it doesn’t cross my mind.

Friends.
We will celebrate his life on Thursday Aug 23 from 6-8 at Schuberts Funeral Home in Wartburg. We will have the funeral service the same night following. And we will bury him privately here on his land at a later date. In lieu of large flower masses, we would like to let people know that we will be establishing two funds for his memory to be announced probably on Tuesday.Thank you all again for your kindness to us,the extended family and our farm workers who were also his friends and family.
