I’m so sorry.
I only know Tamara online through COTH, but that was enough to understand that she loved Calvin with all her heart. I was thinking about her post just the other day, the one Appsolute quoted, about her husband meaning more to her than any animal ever could or would. Since I’m a divorce lawyer, I was wishing more people could have the kind of relationship the two of them shared.
Tamara, if there’s anything at all any of us can do, you know you have only to ask, right?

A COTH gift?
Well, as Tamara is herself a “gift” to COTH. . .
Would someone be willing to set up a PayPal and spearhead some kind of group effort to send, I don’t know, a gift basket of REAL food (not a bunch of sample jars of mustard, etc.) that the family could tap into for a meal? I cannot remember who did the gift basket that BP sent when my sister died, but it was a roast and a bunch of other food that could either be eaten immediately or refrigerated for later meals. It was incredible.
Just a thought - either that or if anyone knows the particulars - like would she prefer flowers for the service or a donation in his name to a favorite charity? Just thinking out loud.

Oh my gosh, I can’t even begin to comprehend the pain she is feeling right now. My heart absolutely goes out to her and her family. I remember a thread recently about whether you stay with your husband just to keep your horse and she replied something to the effect that no animal is more important than her husband. I totally agreed with that comment 100%. Major, major jingles. Godspeed.
