Jingles for Cat Lady - RIP

I can’t BELIEVE this!!!:frowning: I don’t understand…but…I never do when it comes to death…I thought last week she was coming home!!!:frowning: I just…don’t get it. Sorry CL…RIP…and OP…very sorry, I know you spent a LOT of time with her…
Wow…I would take cats, but I am far away in NY…
The younger ones need to be spayed/neutered…right?..
I am just in shock right now, and I don’t know any of you.:(…

This just breaks my heart ! ((hugs)) OP !

This ‘passing’ just breaks my heart ~

Bless you dt ! for All you do for so many ~

Jingles & AO ~ all 16 land ‘softly’ in their new homes ~

PM sent

I am so sorry! Hugs to you and all the kitties!

Oh no. I’m so sorry, DK.

My PMd offer stands, if a closer home isn’t found. With us having a bonded pair of girls, I think a bonded pair of boys would work.

Hugs to you and the cats.

Godspeed Cat Lady and bless you dressagetraks for being there for her kitties. The world needs more people like you.

I am so sorry :frowning: If someone is able and willing to take a kitty PM me I might have a dribble of help.

I was also lurking… so sad and I am tearing up in my office

I’m sorry for your loss.

DT, do you have an adequate supply of cat food on hand? If not please give address and I will contribute a dribble in your honor. You may need some $$$
if it takes a while to re-home them.

Oh, I’m so sorry to hear this. I’m glad she had your friendship and comfort these last days. Good luck placing all those cats, and thank you for taking the responsibility to do so.

Hey all - I order all of our dog food from Chewy.com, and they ship for FREE on any order over $49. I already have an account, and I would be more than happy to place an order and have it shipped to DT if anyone would like to contribute.

DT - please PM and let me know if you could use anything here (food, flea/tick meds, litter):
http://www.chewy.com/cat/cat-325

Anyone who would like to contribute should DT give the go-ahead, PM me.

I’m back from CL’s followed by another aide shift.

That chewy site looks pretty good. I’m sure the cat food consumption is about to go up. I have the barn cats on just basic like Friskies or Special Kitty, but they supplement with their prey, too. Indoors, we’re on Taste of the Wild. I’m still debating trying Tina and/or Rascal inside. Coda can be such a little witch for the first few weeks. Then she settles and is sociable, but she just takes a while to get used to something being different. I’m wondering, though, if mine would sense something is wrong with this whole situation and be nicer. Hmmm.

I talked to CL’s son. He sounded in shock, some things still need to be worked out, but no dispute on the cats.

And I broke the news to the cats. Sigh.

ASB, you could have either the blacks or the yellows. I’d really like to keep them in pairs if possible; they are such good friends. I think those four will be the easiest to adapt of all of them. They are just young, happy-go-lucky cats who don’t know there is such a thing as unfriendliness in the world. Excellent purrs on the blacks. Poly and Cotton like to rear up and put their front feet on a person. Maybe we could set it up to meet halfway?

Thank you all. It was hard going in there and realizing, “She’ll never see them again.”

In my belief, she will see them again. She’s waiting by the rainbow bridge for them with her kitties that are already there…

Cat Lady as I will remember her, sharing an ice cream sandwich with Cotton. (No, I don’t agree with this. But it is how I will remember her.)

Agh! They’re all so gorgeous. I wish I could take a few but again - too far away.

Tina looks like she might be part Abysinnian (hope I spelled that right) - she has that look about her face.

Bless you for taking care of the cats and of CL - we ned more folks like you.

You just let me know what we can do to help. The thought of you telling Rascal the news today is breaking my heart.

PM me when you’ve caught your breath and have had a chance to have a good cry. And chocolate. And wine. You need some time to reorganize your thoughts, I think. That’s a lot of pressure and responsibility you’ve been putting on yourself. Please take care.

Here’s my own cats checking out the rug.

This is unquestionably MY rug. It was a gift to me, and not a gift from CL. Third party who gave it to me would verify, and I mentioned it to people at the time. But I thought it would look so awesome in CL’s house with all that wood, and I don’t have my ultimate house on the farm yet, so I took it over there and loaned it to her for her living room. It was agreed between us that she only had use of it for her life. It was still my rug. She even told that to a few people after its arrival.

However, of course, it has been rolled on, kneaded on (it’s quite thick), played with, etc., by CL’s cats for a few months. Hence, upon setting it up in my living room today, it got an extra-intensity CAT scan.

I’m so, so sorry, dressagetraks.

I’m so sorry, dressagetraks. Thanks for taking such good care of CL and the kitties.

I have to break the news to the cats this morning, and I’m not looking forward to it. That might sound crazy to some people, but I think those on here will get it.
I so get this. So sorry for your loss. Bless you for taking care of CL and her kids. You and the kitties now have an angel watching over you.
{{{HUGS}}} to all.
