Joint Supplements What works?

At shows under USEF rules, previcox cannot be given closer than 12 hours prior to test, and shouldn’t be given for no more that 14 days consecutively.

Sounds the same as their rules for other pain meds like Bute… My mare’s responded well to daily Previcox plus monthly polyglycan. If I was showing (which I am not), I’d just shift the dose to the evening.

The 14 day rule is, as far as I know, unenforceable… and I am not sure why it’s there.

If you can afford it - Cosequin made a HUGE difference in my guy. We switched to actiflex 4000, and a few others and I noticed that he got worse when off the cosequin. Also, adequan is the best!

Cosequin and adequan are life savers. I noticed a huge difference on my horse with both, individually after trying lots of different supps.
