Journeyman chaps - Tack shops near Chester County, Pa

I got fully custom chaps a few years back, However they have gotten just a hair too small, the chaps WILL zipper but they are very tight… I know Journeyman will add leather to them so they fit as they should. My only issue I’m having is the tack shop I ordered them from no longer has anyone to really measure and any place around I’ve been to haven’t really seemed to know what they were doing… more of a winging it type of deal. Put out too much money for these to have someone guess.

Trying to find somewhere around that I could go to be
re-measured and feel comfortable about sending my chaps out.

I’ve tried Rick’s in West Chester, Equine Exchange… My only other thought was to drive to Va. (only about 2-3 hours from where I live) and have them do measuring themselves.

Any suggestions?

I would try Malvern Saddlery in Malvern.

You can also try Bartville Harness Shop in Christiana, PA. It is Amish owned and they do some beautiful leatherwork. They can probably do it - they seem able to do anything.

There’s a woman in Buckingham (near Doylestown) PA who does a lot of boot and saddle repair. Her workshop is pretty cool and she has a little tack shop attached to it. Her name is Sharon Ross at Tack Works, 215-794-7213. Might want to give her a call!
