Jumper Conspiracy?

Wouldn’t it be called the Chevy Syndrome?

I’m baking Christmas cookies tomorrow in celebration!! I’ll watch videos of top GP horses being expertly jumped into VIP tents as I eat my cookies.

I’m sure you mean to say, GP horses expertly jumping into tents. The only "expert jumping" in that video was done entirely by the horse who, being the honest sort, preferred to jump into the tent rather than crash into the rail or stop. No expertise by the “rider” was on view at all.

You really must give credit where credit is due. All horse, no rider.

You know guys, though maybe it would be good for my rep, I really don’t have the time or the inclination to banter back and forth here. I have 13 horses, a handful of students, a farm and a job to stay on top of. So in response to the concerns I can justify as somewhat valid to what to some are extraordinary claims (and ignorance is bliss), I’ve posted what I hope to be a final response to corruption in the US Hunter Jumper industry on my ‘Ace Blog’ on my website. Just google Ace Sport Horses and you can easily find the facebook page which points to the website.

Oh yes, for sure there is nothing expert about one stride ridden in these videos. I also don’t see any top GP horses in them. I think someone’s imagination runs a wee bit wild.

Then why did you resuscitate this dead thread? Unless you are a pop star, not all publicity is good publicity and reviving this mess only serves to remind the horse world of your character, history, and unorthodox course decisions. Perhaps you’d be best to mimic Queen Elsa and simply let it go.

You must admit, that was quite an expert jump into the tent. By the horse. Good Boy.

Oooch. Bloody auto-dis-correct!

From her blog.

Now, I don’t have a problem letting certain small things slide (pretty much forgetting that they ever existed) if you have consistently at the end of the day behaved like a friend and helped me to stick around. Or have simply gotten caught up in a system that is more than a little flawed and unjust, or you know, just stuff happens. We are all human and make mistakes … nobody is perfect. I have no problem being very good to those that have hung in there and been good to me through this huge battle I seem have inadvertently gotten caught up in trying to live my dream of being a good horseman.

So, if you have been slightly harmed by this financial attitude of mine and know me; have a little faith. I am stubborn enough (and have nice enough horses and can ride and train and do whatever it takes to hang in there) to get my point across and eventually succeed. I’ve done it before, and I’ll do it again. If I’ve been going to your horse shows for years and years and spending thousands and thousands of dollars on them and bringing other clients to them and shining a light on them obviously you are long term getting the thumbs up from me. I may not be happy with every move you make, especially if you or your employees are being affected by these politics (which allows me to justify putting a little crunch on you), but we will catch up and I will make it all right and be back.

Does anyone else read this as “Borrowed /spent your money. Can’t pay it back right now, soz. Don’t hassle me none, either. If you’re nice and kiss my bum, I might drip feed it back. If you’re mean to me, forget it, it’s my right”.

  1. For the first two sentences I literally thought this was someone doing a NP impression
  2. Amy YOU bumped this thread. YOU made this a topic of discussion again
  3. Perhaps keeping it on your own blog is a good idea

Who or what is NP?

Nick Peronace is a poster who has a history of posting on dead threads to say “you’re all wrong and I am right” and then huffing off with “I’m too busy in the real world to bother with the likes of you” when people continue to engage.

Also someone whose view of reality is often out of synch with other people’s.

Also someone whose need for attention seems to trump common sense at times.

Also someone who could use an editor.

Ah. Thanks.

NP has been the Dressage forums best and longest running train wreck. Always entertaining. And the guy is the worst disguised houseguest bumping up dead threads involving himself since our favorite TB rescuer, dealer and Eclipse award nominee in an unknown category over on HJ.

Here’s a funny thing. I would not have known him from Adam until the previous post that mentioned his name here. But then within less than five minutes, I saw his name pop up on a Facebook post. Very small world sometimes! Even on the internet.

Posting on a thread like this is not good for anyone’s rep. Let it go, @Amy Hunter.

Writes blog about mean George. No one reads it. Posts “my final comments about Chronicle on blog!” on Facebook.
That will teach them over there on the Chronicle.
Insert supervillan laugh.

She and NP are cut from the same cloth. I have the misfortune of living in the area where NP resides, and was once the recipient of an 11:45pm “cold call” from him, offering his services as a “Prix Saint George level Dressage trainer”…I run a moderately successful, small H/J show barn and lesson program, not really sure my lesson ponies are up for his “upper level” Dressage training.

I regret not attending the after party he threw himself to celebrate the “Chevy Cup” award at Dressage At Devon (an award that he sponsored and then Devon retracted when they realized he was a con artist), as I’m sure it would have been highly entertaining to experience that loon in real life.

Remeber when he became a bounty hunter? Yes, that happened.

But back to AH and this stallion…pretty sure if he was going to be a successful, SERIOUS 1.60m/Olympic horse, Kevin Babington would have kept him in the barn. He’s got a good eye for a horse and has, ya know, BEEN TO THE OLYMPICS.

As an addition to my previous comment, her rambling “conspiracy theory” blog posts and her disorganized thoughts remind me of the former equestrian Scott Kemery’s blog, which is really dark, disturbing, and clearly the work of someone with severe mental health (and possibly drug) issues. Scott’s writings are on a whole 'nother level, but I see similarities in AH’s thought processes.
