Jumper Conspiracy?

That was quite a response to a rather tame question. I really am curious about what these books are that have documented the evil in our sport. I read everything I can get my hands on about equestrian sports, and Amy’s comments makes me wonder what books I missed. Seriously. My other comment was just my honest opinion that I can’t figure out what the conspiracy she keeps alluding to is all about…and that perhaps it was influenced by her reading.

Edited out quote, but left my main point below:

If someone wants to point the public finger, and self-publishes a piece that is borderline libel towards a well-respected public figure, they need to expect a bit of backlash. Particularly when the claims are as outrageous, and as yet unproven, as Ms Hunter makes.

I am truly sorry Ms Old Mac Donald. I honestly thought this was the post that Atlas Shrugged started about how nasty these forums are and I was referring to her OP. But thank you for pointing out my error. I am not perfect and I apologize. If you would like me to delete my reply, I will do so out of respect for you since I was truly confused. Just let me know what you would like to do. I will gladly call in a moderator to sort this out if that is what you desire.

If you follow that thread, then it will make sense.

I do, however, still believe that the gangbang is not called for and is sadly part of what SafeSport is trying to address. And I stand by that as SafeSport is not just about Sexual Abuse - it is about all abuse. And there is a lot of it going on here today along with a lot of allegations that are simply unfounded.

I apologize for my part in falsely referring to you as the person who was calling out the nastiness and abuse. I should not have credited that to you.

@Moderator 1 can you please advise about how to handle my post #379 above? Please feel free to delete if you need to - I made an honest mistake in referring to the OP of the wrong thread.

I appreciate the kind assist.

Alt_hunter - no need to thank me or apologise, I wasn’t offended. I was scratching my head myself, as your post didn’t follow your previous one. I thought you were a different Hunter in disguise, least til I read your previous posting. How about we all have a glass of something crisp at the Blue Saddle Inn and a bit of a giggle at the confusion?

Thank you. I truly appreciate that.

Hi Moderator, I was able to edit the post so I referenced the correct OP, and I made a comment to point out my error. Let me know if there is anything else I need to do to be compliant.

i guess i misunderstood because of all the syntax. what i read was that it never happens that someone from KS who shows in Ocala wins the Maclay finals. So i was just saying it did indeed happen. that’s why i wrote “not that it matters” to the rest of this thread. but it did happen, so I was just stating a fact. I’m a huge fan of Hunter and her style.

In case this is useful to anyone else: while that link no longer seems to work, I believe the same content is available via her other website (or maybe just another domain name for the same site): https://www.acesporthorses.com/dropping-the-bomb.

I actually found it more readable than I expected given earlier comments. It’s an interesting perspective on any number of topics.

George got Michael to ruin a horse because Amy wouldn’t wear spur when Chris asked her to.

Makes sense to me !

I pulled that quote from the AH’s blog or post, can’t remember which, and frankly it baffled me that she made such a comment and so publicly. I am a huge fan of HH as well! She’s a beautiful rider and did, indeed, earn that title with her talent. We are both on the same page on this.

….and people have been killed because of it (presumably her alleged fiancé, someone she met two/three times.) Beyond her delusions and defamatory comments about George Morris etc is the issue of the multiple lawsuits. She referenced the case involving Cradilo (whom, by the way, she has not had in over six years, yet still rides on his coattails,) but she didn’t mention any of the other lawsuit/s by clients/investors that she lost in court. BEWARE, she is a first class scam artist and swindler. In addition to taking people’s money, she lays claim to their horses, etc. As was also pointed out in a previous post, she herself indicated she owes people money, but won’t pay them back or maybe she will if they prove their loyalty.

As for Cradilo, one can read back through this thread and see the majority of the facts pretty clearly laid out and it is public record. To answer a few of the points she made: there was no claim of any fire, both parties produced a valid lease in court. I have never heard that a lease means you somehow own the horse as she claims. She spent some money up front on Cradilo, but then spent hundreds of thousands of another person’s money on him and herself. She was leased Cradilo for breeding and was taught how to collect him and given all the equipment by his owner. The semen is in dispute and Cradilo’s owner has been paying the storage fees for years. Past posts in this thread also answer all of the recent questions about him and one can see how happy and healthy he is. Her story is a fantasy in her own mind.

Also, as several people posted, if Cradilo could in a healthy, responsible way have been on the Gran Prix circuit, Kevin Babbington would have campaigned him, which is 100% true as Cradilo had the talent, but had an issue and Kevin and his owner decided to retire him. He was sent to Ms. Hunter for breeding. Again, this was explained in prior posts.

Amy did nothing with him; he carried her. He was the main reason she was able to get the attention of wealthy clients/investors. One can just look at her YouTube videos/blogs, etc and see all of her excuses as to why she and her horses do not perform at the top levels, she has a million excuses with zero self reflection. As far as, “never laying claim to her professional accomplishments,” she has none, just excuses. She has a long list of people, friends and clients, that have left her life because of she and she alone, not because of some outside influence. Why on earth she would drive people from her website or Facebook to this thread or vice versa, just further shows how unhinged she is.

There’s a whole lotta strange in that screed…

Some students were upset by some comments made on this forum regarding Fatima Ace and her unfortunate experience … so I’ve formally responded on my website … ace sport horses.com under the abuse tab …

If you want to know what screed is, here you go! Ms. Hunter’s latest writings regarding this thread and the circumstances of the most recent lawsuit against her (from her perspective.) Again slandering someone else and claiming abuse of a horse that she on her own page said she over faced at too young an age and the horse was shutting down, now she says she had to pull the horse, etc…https://www.acesporthorses.com/abuse

The carburetor clearly needs adjustment. Mix is definitely running too rich.

Wow. The leap from “a horse went off to a top barn and came back in bad shape” and “it’s all George Morris’ fault” is spectacular.

Every time I read something of hers I’m again floored by the apparent thought process displayed in the writing style. Point A can never go directly to point B. So many diversions and conspiracies crop up in between. That just seems so abnormal to me (let alone hard to understand). It just does not seem like normal bad writing. It really seems like she’s not all there.

Honest to god, the logic is like a Christopher Nolan movie…

Here is my summary of the latest blog post. Tangents/meanders from the actual chronology in parens (and I was charitable about what was a meander)

https://www.acesporthorses.com/abuse

-On this BB she had claimed Erik Hasbrouck abused her horse Fate when the horse was in his care between April and May 2016
-She wrote the blog post, with photos, to back up this claim
-Photo of the horse in 2018 showing her in the condition AH thinks is appropriate. Horse has her head down and is leaning over her front end
-Horse is now in work, jumping 2’6-3’6 2x/week with AH’s students
-Horse is an easier keeper
-Photo of Fate the day she got back from EH’s, Horse is standing more straight with her head up. Body condition looks awfully similar to the earlier photo. Mare looks a bit slimmer but nothing really astounding/shocking
-Assertion that she looks much worse in the post-EH photo and a description of all the ways why
-Conclusion that the only way the mare could look the way she did is if she was starved
-Photo of the mare the day after she was dropped off at EH’s. Mare is standing less square. To my eye the mare’s condition looks exactly the same as the post-EH photo. Literally exactly the same body condition
-AH says this photo shows the mare after a long trip, so she had lost some weight. AH says this is still acceptable condition/horse is just fit
-Assertion that if you can’t see the neglect in these photos, you’re not horseman
(we must have seen these photos because they’re on FB)
(it takes 10 years to make a jumper)
(race horses are designed to last less than showjumpers, that’s why they’re thinner)
-No show jumper should look like this mare did
-AH’s student paid EH $3K/month in board
-AH recommended the student board with EH
(EH was not nice to his non-citizen staff)
-The idea was for EH to make the horse up, sell it, he would get board/training, student would get to ride with EH, AH would make money from the sale
(Horse was 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] in the Midwest Young Jumpers and was nationally ranked 4 years prior to the events in question)
(she would have placed even higher by AH refused to run her to an oxer and apparently you must do so to win the young jumper classes)
(young jumper classes have pros and cons)
(young jumpers doesn’t suit AH’s horses or training style)
(AH doesn’t start galloping or jumping horses 1.20m until they are 7-8)
(Fate also did very well in some other classes)
(Fate had a setback later due to AH’s health issues but was jumping 1.2m before she went to EH’s)
-Student was also going to get some commission on the sale
(Student has since sued AH claiming fraud/unjust enrichment)
(AH tried to get student not to sue by promising student some money when the horse did sell)
(student is a shamateur because she imports and sells horses)
-Fate came back worse under saddle from EH’s
(Somehow the student was allowed to take this horse to EH’s because the student was upset about AH being defrauded on another horse deal)
-EH rode Fate once and declared her to be a 1.15m horse
-AH disagreed
-Horse failed a PPE at EH’s
-AH says horse came back sore and also had a facial wound requiring stitches
(AH’s horses rarely have accidents)
(accidents are caused by stress and poor management)
(Horses intentionally hurt themselves to get attention)
-Horse was depressed when she came home
(students know this and goaded AH into explaining herself on her blog)
(we all need to brush up on our horse care)
(we should volunteer for the ASPCA instead of doing bigeq)
(Black Beauty is a great book)
(it’s our job to look out for the horses)
(if you want to be bulimic, fine, be bulimic)
-EH did all of this to Fate because GM would not allow AH to succeed
(GM wields power in the equine industry)
(we all need to wake up)
(this is somehow worse than the horse killers)
-Fate was starved
(they only turned out 1 hour a day at EH’s)
-They fed the other horses
(a shoutout to GM to leave AH alone)
(AH is about to prove everyone wrong about how great her horses are)
(if GM leaves her alone she will go back to being a professional horseman instead of a “professional writer and court goer”)
(the reason she writes so poorly is because she is using “editorial liberty or slang”)
(she doesn’t have to look like a princess on a horse)
(if GM leaves her alone she’ll even take down her blog)
(she is not afraid of GM)

So summing this up in rational terms without all the meandering…

-She let a student take a horse to EH’s hoping that EH would get the horse sold
-The horse failed a PPE and EH didn’t think it was as talented as AH thought the horse was. Horse didn’t sell
-She was unhappy with the horse’s condition when it came back (although photos show it was in roughly the same condition aside from what appears to be a minor pasture accident that was appropriately treated)
-This is all GM’s fault
