I do believe Ms. Hunter’s cheese fell off her cracker…and we’re way past the “5 second rule”.

Just how much power does she think GM wields? Admittedly, I have a generally favorable impression of the man (have audited his clinic and read his books) but truly, he’s not been the chef d’equipe in years and no longer trains or judges as much as he used to. He’s reportedly not a big tech guy, so probably not FB stalking whose horses have gone where to call up people and tell them to ruin them. How exactly does she think he’s implementing this grand conspiracy against someone who was taught by one of his students decades ago?

My guess it her issue, (while still ridiculous and delusional) was less about being told to wear a spur than it was the following as outlined in her, “Dropping the Bomb” blog:

“Around this same time I naively decided to attend a clinic with George Morris being held at one of the more prestigious A Show barns in Sacramento. I attended it with James, and the horse and I performed beautifully in the professional division, as well or better than any other team. In spite of this, George was extremely unpleasant to personally ride under. While there was clearly a client or two he was quite bent on highlighting positively, he had a minor meltdown over my not knowing which side of my horse’s neck the loose rein should be on (nor knowing some obscure term to describe it), and then proceeded to tell me I had an emotional complex.”

I think he hit the nail on the head with that assessment!

I wasn’t aware that the horse Fatima had even been discussed on this thread (much less abused), not until AH herself brought it up, and blogged about how the horse was being discussed! The only horse mentioned in the thread, in the context that AH has blogged about, was the thoroughbred gelding that a trainer apparently “ruined” and wouldn’t buy.

Guess it’s hard keeping your story (and horses) straight, eh Amy?

Sooooo, the bite of the reins is an obscure term?

Here is how she came up with ACE Sporthorses.

"If you’ve followed my work at all, you know the ‘name’ of the business and thus the horses names have been going through some flux. Wanting to primarily credit the great stallion that gave so much of his heart to our ambitions (Cradilo of course), at first all the names were ‘by Cradilo’. Then, after dwelling on it, I sort of came to, hey, this was very much a mutual effort! Producing exceptional horses required more than a great stallion. It takes exceptional mares and a top notch ‘program’. Thus it became ‘ASH Sporthorses’ and ‘ASH Cradilo’ (my initials) behind the horse’s names, rather than ‘by Cradilo’. After a few complaints from potential new owners about the length of the name I’m adamant about the horses keeping (which I must admit, you guys have a point) I’ve finally decided upon ‘Ace Sporthorses’ and ‘Ace’ as the acronym that will follow the horse’s names. Ace of course stands for ‘ASH-Cradilo Enterprises’, and it’s short, sweet and to the point.

So I’m assuming she will be riding his coattails indefinitely.

You what know guys? There’s this thing, it’s called freedom of speech, and it is the most important concept this country and most civilized beliefs and society were built on. Here’s what it means … I get to say whatever I want to say, regardless of how unfair it seems to you, or how angry it makes you. Now, there is a lot of spin out there (people seeking attention, seeking to manipulate, whatever), that should be overlooked by anyone trying to live in peace.
But every once in a while, someone is presenting an important truth that should not be ignored or be cause for retaliation. People fearing for their livelihood (or their animal’s wellbeing in this case) because they have something to say that those in power don’t want out there is reminiscent of the Gestapo or a Communist Party form of government. It is absolute tyranny. Especially when that person has spent decades for the most part simply, quietly doing the hard work and focus of pursuing their profession.
Anyone that knows me can tell you, that other than proving my horses in the show ring, teaching or an occasional balk over some misrepresented manipulation I feel needs to be straighten out, I focus on work and avoid human drama as much as possible. It’s the reason I’m a horseman living on a farm in the remote country.
People freaking out over some possible truth being put out there (without carefully investigating the facts of what might actually be happening), especially when it has to the potential to over throw or shed light on those in power, is usually a sign that 1) a true nerve is being hit and 2) they are somehow embedded or aligned with that power in a way that makes them feel safer or stronger and not open to even discussing in an educated factual way the potential truth. In other words, THEY are likely biased and unclear. And their hype at the end of the day just becomes more manipulation.
But those who are clear are going to simply observe the events, come to conclusions of their own, move forward and make decisions accordingly (and they tend to be a lot quieter). So, I could CARE LESS about negative spin. I’m interested in keeping the bad guys at bay by exposing them (and anyone who would hurt a top horse in a sport that is supposedly dedicated to their preservation and shining a light on them, definitely falls into that category). And making strong and useful connections with the good guys, which I know this sport is also overflowing with. That’s it. Mission accomplished. See you at the shows … J

Every time someone on an internet forum brings up Freedom Of Speech, I really want to just ask them to go read the first five words of the First Amendment.

Well, bless your heart, Amy.

If you think for one moment that you can state you try to live peacefully and avoid drama, while INITIATING that said drama with your blog vilifying others for your failures, you have another thing coming, hon.

Find a qualified mental health professional and work this out now, or continue to tell yourself the lies that make you miserable and prevent you from moving forward, instead of living your regrets via your blog.
