Just in case.
Oh, just popping some popcorn over here and unfolding my lawn chair.
:applause::applause::applause::D:D
Right? A different person from another thread pops up on this one to give her version of her own events? That was unexpected.
Side note. How were you able to multi-quote? I used to have that option, but now I donât see it anywhere on this version of the BB. I can only quote one post at a time.
It is truly shocking to me that your bargain unicorn was not what he was sold to be. Truly shocked.
Guess you showed us!!! In all seriousness Iâm sorry he didnât work out
Wonder when the âother blondeâ, the one the thread is actually about will jump on here!
Tagging @ladyj79 on this thread because I know she had a somewhat removed connection to this horse and had said something about wanting to keep tabs on himâŠ
First item you pick to quote will appear in this lovely reply box. Second item does not appear until you scroll to the top, the yellow button that says âpost replyâ will have a number after it in parenthesis. Hit that button and the things you chose to quote will appear in this box.
It only appears to work on a single page. To quote from page to page you have to put it in the box and copy and paste.
The other way to do it is to do it manually.
Leaving out the random spaces this is how you manually quote:
[ quote = MHM ] paste quote here [ / quote ]
Ah, yes, but she was just late, been expecting her. I wonder if somebody tipped her off there was still turkey left and she just couldnât resist?
Oh WOW! Thanks Trub
Very welcome!
One thing worth noting, if you manually type you do not have to put the poster name in there. You can skip the = Poster part and just put [ quote ] (minus the spaces).
Ahh. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Sometimes the leftovers are the best part of the turkey.
That is how I have been working round it, but now Iâm back in the world of true multi quotingâŠYEAH
Now back to the popcorn and seeing if anymore unexpected guests pop in.
Bold is mine.
I thought your medical issues prevented travel.
yeah and I bet youâre NOT a better dressage rider than anyone else in H/J land! You know some humility would certainly go a long way into making your stories sound better [edit]
I know weâre not supposed to use the âT wordâ. But can I say Iâm getting a strong whiff of Eau de Bridge?
Bringing up Baby is not a troll, sheâs real
Iâm sorry, but now Iâm totally confused. When we last left off, you had enough saved for one year of expenses which is why we all recommended you lease a horse. Your budget certainly changed as the story progressed. Which is fine, hey, weâve all been in a place where we realize what we want is kind of expensive.
I think the stats on the horse you outlined here are not in keeping with the videos of the horse that were found. But he looked like a nice enough boy and I think despite your story changing quite a bit here, a lot of people were rooting for you to have a good experience.
Your post above leaves me very confused. On your FB you posted (publicly, not privately) nothing but positive things about your very sweet looking horse. And when you sold him, you posted pictures of him longingly and seemingly blamed other folks for your needing to sell him. Your profile picture is still a sweet picture of the two of you. You actually said in a post that the two of you did so well together and that he will always be your dream first horse. Doesnât really seem consistent with what you posted above.
I think you will continue to struggle with folks on this board bc you tend to change your story a bit. People on here know how to do research online and do not tolerate shams.
You also make very strong claims about your riding that maybe arenât true. I think we could all agree that if you were half the dressage rider you purported to be, you could install that third or fourth level flat work you so desperately needed on a jumper yourself.
But I think where you really lost people is with your go fund me campaign that happened right when the horse was purchased for an amount almost exactly the same as what you paid for your horse, but for medical reasons. I think people found that really distasteful. I thought the fact you didnât raise money on it to me, indicated that we are not the only ones with some questions about your situation.
We can all sympathize that you have major medical issues that are surely so emotionally and physically draining. We can all understand needing a special kind of horse for those needs. But I think we all struggled with some of the twists and turns in your stories and what looks like some pretty duplicitous behavior.
Just my 2 cents!
