Just an FYI, Tom Struzzieri is no longer running HITS, it has basically been acquired by a new ownership group and has a new management team that has been making a lot of improvements to its facility in Ocala. How and whether that will translate to its operations on the West Coast, I don’t know, but they definitely are making an effort in Ocala.

I do see where it says he will have significant involvement in the launch of Showpark, so maybe he will actually be more involved than he has in Ocala. But in Ocala at least, it is a totally different management team.
What did happen to Balmoral…did it close?
They really don’t have a choice but to do something different in Ocala with WEC right on their doorstep. It remains to be seen if any new management team will invest in improving their other properties where they don’t have local competition.

Yes. Bad business practices all around made it where no one wanted to show up.
Now they’re having trouble selling it because they can’t reopen it as a track.
Name me one property that Struzzieri took over and wound up better than it was before for competitors. I remember what he did to Culpeper…
