June Traverse City

Glad to hear this. I hope they continue to be vigilant and strict about safety protocols.

Annadale, I’m sure you are right. I was not thrilled to see the news reports of that bumper to bumper traffic crossing the bridge. I have stayed out of downtown TC. When I briefly had to drive thru town on Monday, it was already far to crowded for comfort with way too many (the vast majority) casual people strolling around unmasked and certainly ignoring any distancing. It wouldn’t surprise me to see a fire storm come mid-July. I am staying right here at home and hoping for the best.

Any updates on this?

Just a heads up to those planning to attend and of the upcoming weeks of GLEF.

Word has it, the governor is going to roll back some of the reopening we’ve had up here. Indoor gatherings of up to 50 had been allowed in this current reopening phase, but that will again be reduced to no more than 10 people at indoor gatherings.

A lot of wineries and numerous restaurants have been main transmission spots now that the tourists are here. Several have been forced or chosen to close again. Not a big surprise. So just FYI, this may not be the fun, happening place to be after all.So much for DH & I taking a post cherry harvest camping get away. May rethink even though we we mainly just going to hang out around the motor home and the camp grounds.
