KINGSTON trailers... Any thoughts?

Any thoughts/experiences with Kingston trailers?

Thanks in advance!

One of the best brands forever

Can’t go wrong with a Kingston. Best.

I have one. It’s super old, but MANY people, including the shop I take it to have told me I’d be crazy to ever sell it.

Every one I know has a Kingston, and many are ancient, they last forever.

I actually just sold mine but only because I am using that money to pay to have my horse’s shipped to our new house out of state. Mine had rot in the aluminum but it originally came from Florida. Unfortunately in the state it was in it won’t last in the snow so I sold it so it can stay in a sunnier climate. I really like it. I liked that it was open with no mangers which the bigger or claustrophobic horses like. The only down side is that there is no tack room. But I would rather have my stuff in the truck and have a more open trailer. I would like to have another one but they aren’t really common on the west coast.

I sold my 1979 Kingston 2 horse, a year ago. It was the BEST little trailer to do short hauls and to teach them to load into! And I got $1200 for it and we only paid $800 for it a few years before that. There are numerous times where I go I wish I still had that trailer!

Have the 2 horse deluxe warmblood and LOVE IT! It’s nearly 20 years old and still looks fantastic. No complaints here!

I love mine. I looked at a lot of different brands & models before I bought, & I have been really pleased with the Kingston. It’s 13 years old now. If I were ever to buy another trailer, I’d buy a Kingston again without a doubt. I think it’s the best trailer out there.

I’ve heard nothing but awesome things. A trainer friend of mine has a 2 horse for small hauls. Great trailer.

I have a 2008 2 horse w/ extended front to fit my show trunk. It is awesome. I pull it w/ an F150 and have never had any issues.

I think they represent excellent value for their $ and hold up incredibly well. I love my trailer.

My trainer has a 2h BP and loves it. I agree that it’s an awesome little trailer and they hold up great! They’re very roomy and open.

When I was looking I was about ready to haul up to the middle of Indiana and buy one sight unseen. They aren’t popular in my area so I was afraid that I would have a harder time re-selling it. I ended up with an Equispirit for the same price.

The only thing I don’t like about the older ones is that they have plywood on the sides. Just one more thing to maintain.

I painted all the exposed wood with water resistant outdoor varnish (like the kind you’d use on a deck). It looks really nice and has been zero maintenance for 13 years.

I have a 1997 Kingston and I love it! It still looks great after all these years. The only thing that rusted a bit was the pipes that the wiring goes thru. Other than that its in great shape! Original wood floor and my mechanic said its in pristine condition! My mechanic remarked and how well the doors close together. This means the frame isnt shifting! I paid 7,800 in 1997 and I think its well worth the price! Love it! It has served me well!

My first trailer was a 10 year old Kingston BP I bought from a friend. My second - and current - bought 6-7 years ago when I could get whatever I wanted -is a Kingston GN . I love them: they pull great and are so solid. Not rattle-y like some (I’m thinking of you, featherlight!). They have all sorts of options, including rubber on the walls, which I have.

I have an older Kinston 4 horse head to head and I love it. It’s in beautiful condition. Before this I had an older Kingston 2 horse. I doubt I’ll ever get another trailer but if I do it’ll be another Kingston.

I don’t have one but when I did my extensive research into trailers a few years ago, I found the every Kingston owner I talked to was happy with their trailer.
