All I can say is the birds need a damn mute button. My weird older neighbor hung up something like ten bird feeders and now it is like a symphony…at 3:45am. After weeks of no sleep, I am beginning to consider target practice on the neighbor.

I live in what really should be considered some sort of bird sanctuary, I swear……[/QUOTE]
And you just installed a cat for them to yell at, right?
You know who the yelling works on?
That would not be the three kittens who-- together-- weigh an oblivious 6-7 pounds.
The yelling scared the pants off of the 16# Slacker I’m test driving. He hung out on the back steps for a while (part of his test drive) and then the Bird Yelling got louder and more insistent until he got nervous. He’s arthritic and so clumsy. When he finally decided that these birds were Yelling at Him and Not Screwing around, he ran inside (as best he could).
He’s really such a kind, soft cat. Perhaps, too, he knows he’s infirm. The birds were too much for him and they won.

Yes, although she (obviously) is not without supervision, and they have not taken notice as of yet. I haven’t seen the squawkers lately, but my horse is out on trial for a lease and they seemed more concentrated out by his bucket. After all, why yell at mere mortals when you can puff your chest out and squawk at a 1400lb horse?
