I am thinking about moving my horse to Lakeside Equestrian in Renton, WA to take dressage lessons. Anyone know anything about this place?
I know nothing of the physical farm, but the trainer, Erin, I would certainly work with!
I boarded there for a couple years, and have a good friend with 3 horses there. She’s been there for years. They do what they say they’ll do. If you talk to the owners and like what you hear, you’ll do fine. If you don’t, don’t expect things are going to change. They work hard to minimize mud in the paddocks, so the turnout time is fairly strict, but it isn’t less than they say it will be.
It’s close to the Lake Young’s trail, which is a big plus if you like to ride out. A number of vets and farriers come to the barn, so that part’s easy, too.
Make sure you visit the barn during the times you’d expect to ride to see how busy it is.
I like the owners and enjoyed my time there.
Erin is amazing. I got to meet her at regionals. I’d board there to train with her in a heartbeat. My current trainer was her working student back in the day…LOL, Erin was a big influence on her.
