Tredstep has started offering a shadbelly and in my experience their jackets run very large.
Early in my search I ordered 2 different Pikeur shads from England (price including shipping was way less) but both were first back ordered then eventually both orders cancelled because they were unavailable.
But! I have 2 on the way thanks to excellent customer service from www.thecollectiononlinestore.com so hopefully my search is over.
OP, if you want an Asmar XL in navy, shoot me a PM.
I just saw a couple of Asmar XXL on clearance at my local tack shop, earlier today: The store is called Greenhawk (as long as you’re not against ordering from Canada). They don’t have it listed on their website, but they had a few XL and XXL in the clearance section at the back of the store (McLaughlin location). They caught my eye because they all had a really neat patterned fabric on the peak at the bottom of the vest. I think they had both black and blue colours.
They do tons of catalogue and online orders so they’d probably be willing to send it out to you. And I don’t think it was super-expensive either… although I can’t remember the price. Might be worth a call… (905) 238-0311
Good luck!!
When I bought my Asmar - (medium close to 10-12 sizing, though they say 8-10) it came with FIVE sets of points: yellow, red, and three prints. It was fun being able to change them out. It was always slightly large on me, then I went on the “old lady’s last diet” and it didn’t fit so well at all. So I have bought a new one but thinking about having some of those points redone to fit new coat. NOTE that the ad said that the front of the coat is cut a bit longer than “normal” shads; I think that’s true. My problem is that I’m short everywhere so wasn’t really important to me.
Hey, if you ever want to sell your Medium…
Sent you a PM
RJ classics make plus sized shads so they should have been able to order one in no problem. I ordered one from equestrian collections a year or so ago as a gift for a friend in a size 20, so they are available. Good luck!
