I wouldn’t be interested in leasing a lesson horse but do you have any boarders that might be interested in doing a half lease? That is what I always did, my trainer would arrange the lease with another client/owner and it worked out well for each of us. I rode 3x a week including lessons and paid half of the board and shoes, everything else was paid by the owner. There was no actual lease fee only those expenses. And each time, the horses had substantial show ring mileage (although I wasn’t interested in showing) and while not especially fancy were much superior to any of the school horses, in quality and training.
Guys, it’s a good topic for general discussion but quotes from OP are 6 years old so she’s not likely to benefit from advice specific to her years ago situation. Or even see it, she never came back.
